Mind Blowing Cinema
It's always nice to know that the upcoming movies of your favorite directors are getting rave reviews. I've alrealdy been blown away by 'Transformers' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford'. Now 'No Country For Old Men' and 'There Will Be Blood' are getting the best reviews of the year.
If only Australia had been released this year, it would be the greatest year of cinema ever. However, I still have my doubts over Australia, how will it compare to Pearl Harbor? Both movies seem to have very similar stories and both the directors have similar epic visual styles... I can only hope that Baz puts a lot more care into his scripts. It will be interesting to see how well Luhrmann copes with a female DOP instead of the legendary Donald McAlpine. I hope my sexism is proved wrong.
